Bernini meets Bernini
at the Auditorium of the House Museum
A conversation with Fabiano Forti Bernini, last direct descendant of the artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who, thanks to his generosity, made possible the staging of the exhibition “Private Bernini. Strength and restlessness” in the temporary exhibition room of the House Museum.
This will be an opportunity to discover anecdotes, curiosities and delve into the most intimate story of an extraordinary genius: Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680).
During the meeting we will also talk about the catalog published on the occasion of the exhibition, a useful tool for entering the private world of the genius of Baroque art. The volume contains essays by Fabiano Forti Bernini himself, by Massimiliano Capella, director of the House Museum, as well as two substantial chapters on the relationship between Bernini and painting and Bernini and bronze by Francesco Petrucci. The in-depth descriptions of the works on display in the exhibition are instead curated by Francesco Petrucci and Steven F. Ostrow. A “private” catalogue, as precious as the exhibition it tells about.
The publication can be purchased at the Casa Museo bookshop or on the website www.fondazionezani.com
Entrance to the meeting is free, upon reservation.
